عضو هيئة التدريس في كلية لندن للاقتصاد ، قسم التاريخ الدولي ،
يبحث في التاريخ المشترك للمسيحيين واليهود والمسلمين في أوروبا والشرق الأوسط.
حصل على شهادة البكالوريوس في جامعة نورث وسترن ودرجة الدكتوراه في جامعة شيكاغو. قبل التحاقه بجامعة LSE في عام 2013 ، حاضرفي جامعة تولين وجامعة كاليفورنيا في ايرفين.
كتابه "تكريم من مجد الإسلام" (2008) حصل على جائزة ألبرت حوراني للكتاب في جمعية دراسات الشرق الأوسط في أمريكا الشمالية كأفضل كتاب في دراسات الشرق الأوسط ، 2008.
