يتركز اهتمامها في اللغة الكورمانجية والأدب والثقافة الشعبية والفولكلور في كردستان.
كم انها تشارك في الإشراف على العمل في الفولكلور والثقافة الشعبية في أجزاء أخرى من الشرق الأوسط .
وتشمل موضوعات بحوث الدكتوراه في اكستر ما يلي :
