ليونارد لويسون

Leonard Lewisohn

(مواليد 1953)

هو مؤلف أمريكي ومترجم ومحاضر في مجال الدراسات الإسلامية ومتخصص في اللغة الفارسية وآدابها الصوفية.

وهو عضو في معهد الدراسات العربية والإسلامية في جامعة إكستر.

وتتركز اهتماماته البحثية على الصوفية والشعر الفارسي الكلاسيكي .

على مدى السنوات الست الماضية كان قد نشر الكتب والمقالات عن اكبر الشعراء الفارسيين ا مثل ناصر خسرو، الأنصاري، العطار وحافظ ،

وقام بدراسات على الفلاسفة والمتصوفة الإسلامية المعروفين , كما قام بنشر العديد من الدراسات المقارنة بين الشعر الفارسي والتصوف مع الشعر الغربي والشرقي والحب والتصوف، بما في ذلك الشعراء مثل شيلي، بليك وطاغور.
