زفي بن - دور بينيت
Zvi Ben-Dor Benite
رئيس قسم الدراسات الشرق أوسطية والإسلامية
أستاذ في قسم التاريخ وقسم الدراسات الإسلامية والشرق ألاوسط في جامعة نيويورك.
يدرس دورات في تاريخ آسيا أثناء وبعد فترة المغول و اليهودية والإسلام.
ولد في القدس لعائلة هاجرت من العراق . درس اللغة الصينية في القدس، في الصين،
وفي وقت لاحق في جامعة كاليفورنيا حيث حصل على الدكتوراه في وقت مبكر في تاريخ الصين الحديث. تلقى العديد من الجوائز والأوسمة، وهو عضو في المجلس الاستشاري الأكاديمي لمعهد Berggruen.
وقد كتب حول التاريخ الثقافي للمسلمين في الامبراطورية الصينية , الفكر اليهودي في الشرق الأوسط الحديث,
