مؤرخة أمريكية يتركز عملها على دراسة الوثائق اليهودية العربية الموجودة في جنيزة القاهرة وتاريخ اليهود في الخلافة الفاطمية.
حصلت على B.A. من جامعة ييل في عام 1990،
ودرجة الماجستير من جامعة كولومبيا في عامي 1998 و 1999.
وحصلت على درجة الدكتوراه من كولومبيا في عام 2004،
تدرس في جامعة إيموري في الفترة من 2003 إلى 2010.
في عام 2007، كانت زميلة في الأكاديمية الأمريكية في روما.
تدرس في جامعة جونز هوبكنز من 2010 إلى 2015، عندما أصبحت أستاذا كاملا في برينستون. في عام 2014، وحصلت على زمالة غوجنهايم. وهي مقيمة في فيلادلفيا.
